This morning we went for a 30km cycle ride along an old railway line through central otago, then it was driving up towards rangatata where we stayed the night in a nice lodge.
A driving day today - 500km back to Picton at the top end of the South Island. A scenic plane ride took us back to Wellington where we could survey the majesty of the Marlborough sounds from the air.
Final day of driving - left Wellington at 7am and arrived in Auckland at 5.30pm. Driving solidly. Sad to say goodbye to my good friends from the trip. Particularly the hard core 23 day group - see pictured below, Ariane, Alex, Rebecca and Lara.
