Rangatoto

Wasn't sure what to do with a day in auckland but eventually decided to take the ferry across to rangatoto island which is a dormant volcano about half an hour from Auckland by ferry.

It was really peaceful and a great introduction to this place - feel like I am really here now!!

Satin the summit and got some great pictures looking back to Auckland harbour.








Thought I'd beaten jetlag but its now 7 and am feeling v tired so might be an earlyish night for me...

The big trip starts tomorrow!!!
